Students are often passive recipients of ring-fenced “knowledge”. Starting with breaking down teacher-student relationships, the Communal Critical Consciousness Workshops provide a forum for learning as equals, and questioning inequality. Skills and concerns of the current facilitators include : ESL teaching, sound art, music, open source programming, comic art, community work, labour activism, blogging, queer and feminist projects.
